We have been involved in developing a set of templates (known as B-templates) that respect the W3C/WAI accessibility standards, to be integrated into a Content Management System, to allow an efficient and quick creation of a website, from CSS skinning to content creation.
The Guardian
We were involved in the R2 project which was a total redesign of the Guardian website. Our involvement as Client Side Developers was to develop new and existing components using velocity based templates to enhance the existing site. Developing code in strict mode xhtml and css 2 ensuring all pages validate to all current browsers, ie. Firefox 2. ,IE 6 & 7, Opera 9 and Safari.

The May Fair Hotel
The site was created to showcase 12 of Londons finest hotel suits at The May Fair. We created all the xhtml pages and the css from photoshop/pdf designs adding javascript functionality to showcase some of the amazing imagery of the suits.

ITV
The new portal of ITV integrates with the latest technologies to form a content driven, site users can interact with working in an Agile Environment.
Tony was one of the main testers for the new bespoke Content Management System Application created in house by the Developers. To deliver rich audiovisual, editorial and community content using ITV's assets to the target audience through a redesigned itv.com.
The technologies involved in this project are as follows catchup TV/simulcast/UGC forums/a web version of EPG (Electronic Programme Guide,White space advertising e.g. MPU's (Messaging Process Unit), Skyscrappers and banners, ominiture tagging reporting. Video Ads / Rights for ads for users to view depending on the deal with sponsors, feeds from Biztalk to the ad server.
O2
Brief: The main objectives were to undertake tests on new portal, purchasing new products in conjunction with business rules. Checking Care X for consumer orders Testing functional aspects of the site content display changes from the new CMS system integrated to the new platform which allows agents / o2 business people to add new post pay / pre pay / 3G/ Imode phones / accessories / bolt on's and Tariffs. Executing test scripts via the testing process in house or client site UAT/QA/Regression/Functional and accessibility testing.
Next Plc
Working within the E-Commerce team, we develop new business web based initiatives, maintain and develop Next's online product catalogue and implement new technologies for the web site.
Working with the front facing web team we were responsible to ensuring all pages adhered to W3C standards and comply with Accessibility regulations as well as ensuring the site works correctly in IE, Firefox/Mozilla, Opera and Safari.
Other responsibilities included converting the current site to a complete CSS solution making the site quicker to load and search engine friendly.
The production of creative designs based on marketing briefs, the provision of ad-hoc design advice and support to the E-Commerce team, and assisting in the development of design standards and guidelines.

The site was designed and developed for the client based in London who specialise in a range of fashionable, energy efficient and solar travel chargers sold in a variety of formats to suit a wide range of portable gadgets, from mobile phones to MP3 players, digital cameras to portable DVDs,game consoles, Sat navs and lots more.
